Ilyess Hadj Romdhane received his B.S. (Chemical Engineering) from California State University at Long Beach in 1987, and his M.S. and Ph.D. degrees in Chemical Engineering from Pennsylvania State University in 1990 and 1994, respectively. Ilyess then joined 3M’s Engineering Systems and Technology as an R&D engineer developing new Drying and Curing process technologies. He spent about 3 years (1996-1999) in 3M France as part of an overseas assignment supporting various 3M manufacturing plants throughout Europe while transferring technologies to local 3M R&D resources. Ilyess is currently a Lead Senior Specialist at 3M’s Corporate Research Process Laboratory where he continues to work on Drying and Curing technologies. He’s currently serving as Co-Chair of the 19th ISCST symposium (Sept. 16-19, 2018).
